FAQs

How does the MicroExfoliation Cloth work?
Made up of ultrafine fibers, the Artistry MicroExfoliation Cloth effectively removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin layer by fine layer. The cloth works well with Artistry Polishing Scrub, and Skin Refinishing Lotion to provide a gentle yet effective at-home alternative to Microdermabrasion.

Does the MicroExfoliation Cloth have micro beads built into it?
No, the MicroExfoliation Cloth does not have micro beads built in. However, Artistry Polishing Scrub includes spherical beads to help gently exfoliate the skin.

Does the MicroExfoliation Cloth contain some kind of built in cleanser?
The Artistry MicroExfoliation Cloth does not include a built in cleanser. The cloth is comprised of 80/20 polyester/nylon. For best results, use the cloth on a clean dry face.

How do I care for my MicroExfoliation Cloth?
Hand wash the cloth using antibacterial soap and air dry. With adequate care, the cloth should last for 3-4 months. If the cloth is not thoroughly rinsed or occasionally washed, odor may become present and thus indicate the need for a new cloth.

Can I use this cloth with any of the Artistry System Cleansers, clear.now™ Acne Treatment Wash, and Tolsom™ Cleansing Foam?
Yes, cleanse your face following your normal routine. The MicroExfoliation Cloth is recommended to be used on a clean dry face followed by your normal treatment products.

Why should I use this cloth instead of my hands or a regular wash cloth?
The Artistry MicroExfoliation Cloth provides a degree of exfoliation that is not possible with regular cleansing. Typical wash cloths are made from coarse fibers – 50 times thicker than the micro-fibers used in the Artistry MicroExfoliation Cloth. The coarse fibers of a regular wash cloth merely move over the surface of the skin. The Artistry MicroExfoliation Cloth takes exfoliating one step further by actually removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.

Can this cloth be used with the Artistry Intensive Repair Serum?
Yes, the Artistry MicroExfoliation Cloth can be used in conjunction with Intensive Repair Serum. However, if you choose to use both, use the MicroExfoliation Cloth in the morning and Intensive Repair Serum at night. Freshly exfoliated skin may be sensitive to the highly concentrated ingredients in Intensive Repair Serum.

Will the MicroExfoliation Cloth scratch my skin?
No, the MicroExfoliation Cloth should not cause scratching to your skin. It will gently and effectively remove the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin without causing any damage.

Why can’t I use the MicroExfoliation Cloth on broken skin?
Skin is already in a sensitive condition, therefore it is not recommended to further exfoliate these areas of the face.

What happens if I use the MicroExfoliation Cloth on the eye area?
It is not recommended to use the cloth too closely to the eye area because this is the most delicate tissue on the face. The cloth can be use under and around the eye, on the orbital bone, where fine lines may develop. It should not be applied on the eyelid or directly on the soft tissue under the eye.

What is the reason for only using the MicroExfoliation Cloth 2-3 times per week?
Skin sensitivity varies from person to person therefore the frequency of using the MicroExfoliation Cloth may vary from person to person. Incorporate this into your normal regimen gradually in order to discover what works best for your skin.

Can the MicroExfoliation Cloth be used on children’s faces? If yes, at what age?
Yes, the MicroExfoliation Cloth can be used on children 12 years and older.

Will the use of this cloth create the oil glands to produce more oils on my skin?
No. Properly cleansing and exfoliation will not increase the oil production on your skin.

Can the MicroExfoliation Cloth be used on other parts of the body?
Yes, the cloth can be used on other areas of the body to help exfoliate to smoother, softer skin.

How does this cloth enhance the efficacy of treatment products and moisturizers?
The cloth helps remove the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin so that other products such as treatment products, moisturizers, and cosmetics can perform better.
